The alley with the dark gray industrial refuse bin made an excellent background for Chelsea. Sort of industrial punk. Did just a few quick shots there. For you equipment junkies I was shooting my Nikon D200 with an 18-200 f3.5/5.6 VR zoom lens wide open at iso 320, hand held. The VR lens is nice for that. I can shoot hand held at a 1/15th shutter speed zoomed out and still get a nice sharp image. No tripod needed here.
The whole shoot took about 15 minutes, and it was fun for both Chelsea and me. Madison photographer meets lovely young lady in coffee shop and we get some great photos. The coffee wasn't bad either ...
It doesn't much matter what your primary photo interest is, making use of available materials, found objects, interesting people you see on the street can be a fun and artistically rewarding experience. The life of a Madison wedding and portrait photographer, I tell ya ...
